Training for Companies, Government and Field Teams
Carbon, dMRV and EUDR training for companies, government and field teams in Indonesia: practical courses from standards to plot measurement.
We train companies, government agencies and field teams in Indonesia to understand and run forest carbon, dMRV and EUDR work themselves. Courses range from a half-day executive briefing on carbon markets to multi-day field training in plot measurement, RTK surveying and data capture.
Who it is for
- Corporate teams: sustainability, procurement, finance and legal staff who need to make carbon or EUDR decisions.
- Government and agency staff at national, provincial and district level working on carbon, forestry or agriculture.
- Field teams: foresters, extension officers and enumerators who will collect monitoring or EUDR data.
- NGOs, universities and cooperatives building their own capacity.
The problem it solves
Carbon and EUDR work fails when knowledge sits with one consultant. Executives sign commitments they cannot evaluate, government staff review projects without methodology background, and field teams collect data that cannot be used because the protocol was not understood. Training spreads the core skills so your organisation can act, check and continue on its own.
What we deliver
Executive and corporate courses
- How forest carbon credits work, quality, ratings and claims.
- Indonesian carbon regulation, from Perpres 110/2025 to SRUK and IDXCarbon.
- EUDR obligations for operators, traders and suppliers, including the due diligence statement.
Technical courses
- Methodologies such as VM0047, baselines, additionality and uncertainty.
- Remote sensing for forest monitoring with free data such as Sentinel-2.
- Allometry and carbon calculation.
Field courses
- Plot sampling design and measurement of DBH, height and species.
- RTK GNSS plot mapping and drone surveys.
- Mobile tree measurement and data capture in AKAR dMRV.
- Farmer registration and consent for EUDR.
Course materials: slides, exercises, field protocols and reference sheets, in English and/or Bahasa Indonesia.
How it works
- Needs check. Who will attend, their roles and what they must be able to do afterwards.
- Course design. Topics, depth, language, format and duration.
- Delivery. In person, online or in the field, with hands-on exercises.
- Assessment. Short practical checks for field courses.
- Follow-up. Optional refresher or coaching during the first real campaign.
What you provide
- Number of participants, roles and language preference.
- Venue or field site, and any equipment you want participants to use.
- Examples from your own work, so exercises are relevant.
Typical timeline
Executive briefings run half a day to a day. Technical and field courses typically run two to five days. Design usually needs two to four weeks’ notice.
Tools we use
AKAR dMRV and AKAR Mapper in field training, and the free tree CO2 calculator in allometry exercises.
Why practical training works better
Participants remember what they do, not what they hear. Field courses spend most of the time measuring real trees, mapping real plots and entering real data, then checking the results together. Corporate courses use your own sourcing regions or land holdings as case material. Government courses walk through actual project documents and regulation texts. Each course ends with a short reference sheet that participants can use on the job.

Frequently asked questions
What training topics do you offer?
Carbon market basics, methodologies such as VM0047, Indonesian carbon regulation, EUDR due diligence, plot measurement and allometry, RTK and drone mapping, and dMRV app use. Courses are built around your team's role.
Is training delivered in Bahasa Indonesia?
Yes. Field and government training is usually in Bahasa Indonesia; corporate and investor sessions can be in English or both.
Can training be held on site?
Yes. Field courses are run on site, often in a real plot network. Classroom and executive sessions can be in person or online.
Do participants get a certificate?
