How We Work: From Knowledge to Project

Updated · 2 min read · By the akar.earth specialist team

How akar.earth turns forest carbon, dMRV and EUDR knowledge into delivered projects: engagement models, software, retainers, training and data products.

akar.earth publishes what we know for free, then helps when you need the work done. Most clients start with a guide or a free tool, send a WhatsApp message with a specific question, and move to a short paid scoping step before any larger commitment.

The path most clients take

  1. Read and self-screen. Start with a topic hub such as forest carbon, EUDR or dMRV, and use a free tool: the project eligibility quiz, the ARR carbon estimator or the EUDR readiness check.
  2. Ask a specialist. Message us with your location, area, land status and goal. You talk to the person who will do the work, not a sales layer.
  3. Scoping. A short, fixed-scope step: a feasibility and eligibility screen, an EUDR gap review, or a document review. It tells you whether the larger project is worth doing.
  4. Delivery. Field data, models, documentation and compliance work, delivered with our own tools.
  5. Ongoing. Monitoring, reporting and advisory as the project or supply chain runs.

Why this order matters

Carbon and compliance projects fail most often at the start: land that was forest too recently, unclear tenure, a methodology that does not fit, or plot data that a verifier will not accept. A small paid scoping step catches these issues before you spend on documentation or certification. It also gives you a written answer you can take to investors, buyers or your board.

Specialists amplified by AI

Our team uses AI agents for drafting, calculation checks and searching standards and regulations. A specialist reviews every output and signs off on it. This is how a small senior team covers feasibility, modelling and documentation quickly, at Indonesian cost levels, without lowering the standard expected by verifiers and buyers.

What we refer out

Some work belongs with partners: legal opinions, accredited validation and verification, laboratory analysis and licensed surveying. We tell you early when you need one, and we prepare the data so the partner’s work is faster.
