Free Carbon and EUDR Tools
Free carbon calculator tools for Indonesia: estimate ARR removals, single tree CO2, project eligibility and EUDR readiness in your browser, no sign-up.
These free carbon calculator tools give quick, transparent first answers for forest carbon and EUDR questions in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. They run in your browser, need no sign-up, and show their method and assumptions on each page.
The four tools
| Tool | Answers | Inputs |
|---|---|---|
| ARR carbon estimator | Roughly how much CO2 could a planting remove? | Area, species group, years, survival, deductions |
| Single tree CO2 calculator | How much CO2 is stored in this tree? | DBH, height, wood density, root ratio |
| Project eligibility quiz | Which project type might fit my land? | Land cover, history, threat, tenure, area |
| EUDR readiness check | How ready is my supply chain for the EUDR? | Eight yes-or-no questions |
How we built them
Each tool uses published, widely accepted methods: the Chave et al. (2014) pantropical allometric equation, IPCC default carbon fraction and root ratios, and the core requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115. Where we simplify, we say so on the page. We would rather give you a modest, honest number than a precise-looking one that misleads.
What the tools cannot do
They do not look at your actual land or supply chain. They cannot apply a methodology’s full baseline, leakage and uncertainty rules, or judge legal questions. Treat results as a reason to investigate further, not as a forecast or compliance verdict.
When to go further
If a tool suggests a project or a compliance gap worth acting on, the next step depends on your question. For land screening on a real boundary, see AKAR Eligibility. For proper volume forecasts, see carbon modelling. For supply-chain gaps, see EUDR compliance. Background reading starts at the forest carbon hub and the EUDR hub. If you are unsure, message us with your result and we will tell you what we would check next.
Frequently asked questions
Are these carbon calculators free?
Yes. All four tools run in your browser, need no sign-up and do not store your inputs.
Can I use the results in a project document?
No. They are screening tools with simplified assumptions. Project documents need site data, the methodology's rules and specialist review.
What is the difference between these tools and AKAR?
The free tools use your typed inputs and fixed defaults. The AKAR suite works on real boundaries, satellite history and field data, and is available by demo request.
Free tools
- ARR Carbon Estimator
Free ARR carbon estimator: get an indicative tCO2e range for a tree-planting project in Indonesia from area, species group, years, survival and deductions.
- EUDR Readiness Check
Free EUDR readiness check: answer eight questions about one commodity flow and see your readiness score and the gaps to close before the EUDR applies.
- Carbon Project Eligibility Quiz
Free carbon project eligibility quiz: describe your land's cover, history, threat and tenure to see which project types may fit and what to check first.
- Single Tree CO2 Calculator
Free single tree CO2 calculator: estimate above-ground biomass and CO2 stored in one tropical tree from diameter, height and wood density (Chave et al. 2014).
