AKAR Dashboard: Portfolio and Compliance View

Updated · 2 min read · By the akar.earth specialist team

AKAR Dashboard gives a portfolio view of planting, survival, monitoring and EUDR compliance status across carbon projects and supplier plots.

The AKAR Dashboard is a portfolio view that shows the state of your carbon projects and supply-chain plots in one place: planting progress, tree survival, monitoring coverage, carbon estimates and EUDR compliance status. It is built for managers, investors and sustainability teams who need the picture without opening raw field data.

What problem it solves

Organisations with several projects, or thousands of smallholder suppliers, struggle to answer simple questions quickly. How many trees survived the first dry season? Which plots have not been visited this year? How many supplier plots are mapped and checked against the EUDR cut-off? Answers usually live in different spreadsheets owned by different people. The Dashboard brings them together from the same data the field teams collect.

Capabilities

  • Portfolio overview: projects, areas, plots and farmers on one map and summary page.
  • Planting and survival tracking: planting cycles, counts and survival by site and species. See nursery and survival rates for why this matters.
  • Monitoring coverage: which plots were measured when, and which are due.
  • Carbon view: measured stocks next to ex-ante projections from the AKAR Carbon Simulator.
  • Compliance status: for EUDR, plot mapping status, deforestation-check results and open issues per supplier group.
  • Alerts: satellite change flags from AKAR Eligibility on monitored boundaries.
  • Sharing and export: role-based views for internal teams and selected external stakeholders, plus summary exports.

How it is used

  1. Connect projects and supplier groups from AKAR dMRV and Eligibility.
  2. Choose indicators and targets for each project.
  3. Review status weekly or monthly; drill down from portfolio to plot.
  4. Share views or exports with management, buyers or investors.

Who it is for

  • Developers and landowners running several sites.
  • Commodity companies tracking supplier readiness for the EUDR, alongside EUDR compliance services.
  • Investors and funds monitoring nature-based assets they finance.
  • Corporate sustainability teams following a carbon and nature strategy.

Questions it helps answer

  • Which sites are behind their planting schedule this season?
  • Where is survival below target, and which species are affected?
  • How do measured carbon stocks compare with the ex-ante projection?
  • How many supplier plots are mapped, checked and ready for the buyer’s due diligence statement, and how many still have open issues?

Each answer links back to the underlying plots and records, so a summary figure can always be checked.

Limitations

The Dashboard summarises data; its accuracy depends on the field and satellite data behind it. Indicators are only as current as the last data collection. It is a management and reporting aid, not an audited statement, and figures shown for carbon are estimates until verified under a standard.

The Dashboard sits on top of AKAR dMRV, Eligibility and the Simulator. See the full AKAR suite and the climate finance hub for how investors use monitoring data.

Frequently asked questions

What does the AKAR Dashboard show?

It shows the status of projects and plots in one place: planting progress, survival, monitoring coverage, carbon estimates, and for supply chains, which plots are mapped and checked for EUDR.

Where does the data come from?

Mainly from AKAR dMRV field data, AKAR Eligibility satellite checks and AKAR Carbon Simulator projections. The dashboard summarises them; it does not create new measurements.

Can investors or buyers see it?

Access can be shared with selected stakeholders, with views limited to the projects or data you choose.

How do I get access?

By demo request. Message us with the number of projects or suppliers you want to track.
